On the road again... Okanogan > Revelstoke > Banff > Calgary
Sipping wine in a vineyard on the shore of an expansive scenic lake…who wouldn't want to visit the Okanagan? Canadas best known wine region is a picturesque gem and was the first stop on our summer road trip. We started our day exploring Knox Mountain Park and then sipped our way through Mission Hill and Quails' Gate Winery (to name a few). The magic sunsets and gazing out onto the lake made this spot a hard one to leave. However, I would have never guessed that the scenery on this trip was only going to get better!
Our next stop was Revelstoke, a quirky town with wildflowers as far as you can see. Unfortunately, with the foggy weather and an angry grizzly sighted in the main carpark of the mountain, our stay was a short one!
As we wound our way through the Canadian Rocky's, I believe I can pinpoint the moment I fell in love with the mountains. The blue lakes, white snow-capped mountains and wildlife were beyond anything I could ever imagine. Our final stop was Calgary before flying back out to Vancouver. This was a road trip to remember. I knew we would be back before our time in BC was through!
